The UK Legume Research Community
Welcome to uklrc.org, the virtual home of the UK Legume Research Community; which was founded in 2023.
The UKLRC aims to connect people who share a passion for legumes – whether to improve our academic understanding of them, or to help realise more effectively the extraordinary potential legumes offer to boost biodiversity, environmental functions, and human-health.
Whether exploring the diversity and provisions of legumes in natural systems, including for conservation and restoration; or in cropped systems and downstream product development – including for consumer and policy studies – the ULRC would like to connect with you!
PLEASE SAVE THE DATE – May 5-7 2026
We are pleased to announce that UKLRC 2026 will take place in Scotland at The James Hutton Institute (Invergowrie Campus), from Tuesday May 5th – Thursday May 7th.

Details of the UKLRC ’26 programme will soon be available via the Registration Link below.
